Expo Bonsai UK
K2 Leisure Centre, Pease Pottage Hill, Crawley, West Sussex. RH11 9BQ
We are pleased to confirm this show has gone from strength to strength and we are very pleased to see how it has settled into its new location at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley. Certain problems we experienced when moving the show to this new bigger location last year now seem to have been rectified and everybody seems agreed how well this show went.
The extra area afforded in the main hall allows the exhibition and traders area to be generously spaced out with plenty of room to move around and adequate seating. The new hall has seven entrances allowing easy access for traders and exhibitors alike, with a large car park for visitors on the day. Considering the awful year we have had in the UK with regard weather fluctuations and how this has affected many peoples trees, even killed many, the tree displays were of the highest calibre as usual. The show prides its self on not just showing specimen trees, but displaying them in the correct manor each display telling a story, many of the exhibitors rising to this challenge, an art on its own. Also on display was a collection of Suiseki and fine bonsai pots, thanks goes out to the British Suiseki Club and the European Bonsai Potter Collective for arranging these displays.
The well oiled team of helpers who put this show together on the Saturday, run the show on the Sunday and then amazingly broke the show down in under 2.hours deserve a massive thank you. The show attracted 793 visitors the best attended event to date organised by the UKBA. so successful in many ways, we have booked the 2nd Sunday of April every year till 2030. Again a big thank you to the bonsai community and at long last we can say we have a large annual show representing the UK's finest trees with a stable financial footing allowing it to run into the future.
For future dates see the UKBA events diary on the UKBA website
Thanking you
