29May 2022 Chiltern Bonsai Society Annual Show
Chiltern Bonsai Society's annual show in Marlow had a display of trees which, although just over 40 in number, was characteristically high in quality. In addition to the main display, there was a presentation of shohin and mame bonsai along with relevant pots, courtesy of Middlesex Bonsai Society.
Two members of Chitern Bonsai are, in addition to their passion for bonsai, equally interested in Suiseki and put on a creditable display of these fascinating stones.
Harry Harrington was present to demonstrate how a gifted stylist can transform a tree and release its hidden potential.
Any visitor to a show like this must come away with the feeling that bonsai, like other areas of horticulture, has the ability to lift the spirits and so ensure its long term sustainability as a hobby.
