Scottish Bonsai Association Virtual Winter Show
After the disappointment of having to cancel our Bonsai Winter Image Event in Scotland this year we resolved to replicate it as best we could in virtual on-line form – so here are some pictures of a selection of trees being worked on in Scotland right now.
This is a very informal event to display and discuss trees at a time when their underlying structure and features are plainly visible.
The ethos of the event was to enable members of the various clubs in Scotland to come together and show trees in their winter image for viewing and to solicit discussion and members inputs. There are no rules and no particular presentational requirements – just the trees however the owner wanted to show them.
For that reason the trees on show can be in various stages of development and the range included here covers a wide variety of types and styles.
We hope you enjoy browsing through them and I know that the owners would really appreciate any comments or suggestions for improvement for individual trees.
Now we just need to cross our fingers and hope that our National Show scheduled for May 8th in Troon goes ahead without Covid interrupting!
