Rafael Torres Nursery
Bonsai Sense, Cami Dels Reis, Palma, Spain.
An opportunity not to be missed!
Whilst on a cruise round the Med in October we took the opportunity to swing by Rafael Torres nursery in Palma, Bonsai Sense is a great little nursery tucked away inland in Palma Mallorca.
Being on a cruise and with the prospect of the ship sailing without us we took the chance to head to the nursery. The taxi ride was unfortunately during the time when all are heading for their siesta, so it was very busy, concerned looks were etched across our wives faces. Undeterred we carried on, the taxi driver did us proud, even waiting to take us back.

We received a warm welcome from Deyssa who showed us round, Rafael was filming but still took time to come out to meet us and catch up.
Despite the extreme high temperatures that they had faced there were many stunning trees to be seen, as is shown in the pics, the Junipers and Olives were exceptional.
He is a man after my own heart, with the enjoyment of collecting material, the quality of truly rugged old olives were a sight to behold. So should you find yourself with a couple of hours to spare in Palma we would recommend you take a look, we didn’t really have enough time to do it justice, our visit was short but sweet.
But we made it back on board with time to spare, well enough time to get the beers in before they cast off!
