Twickenham Bonsai Club Display & Open Day

​Twickenham Bonsai Club held their first ever Bonsai show this past weekend on 27th February. 2022.
The club presented 50 trees from our members and hosted a Harry Harrington workshop along with vendors from the European Bonsai Potter Collective
along with Springwood ceramics and Colettes trees and supplies.

We were immensely gratified to have over 100 members of the public attend the event, and high levels of engagement and interest. While not a formal bonsai exhibition, we encouraged the public to vote for their favourite trees,
of which the top 3 were:

1. Tony Ulatowski’s Hinoki Cypress
2. Mark Edwards’ Trident Maple
3. Nick Lloyd’s Blue Cedar

We were surprised and delighted to note that 85% of all the trees received a vote, which we hope reflects the broad quality of our members trees. 
The event’s success was not of course solely a result of the club’s efforts, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to those who contributed their experience, knowledge and resources to help us make our first event a success: Liz Panton of Chichester Bonsai Club, Mark and Mingchen Moreland of the UK Bonsai Association.
