Dragon Bonsai Autumn Show
Aberglasney Gardens, Llangathen, Carmarthenshire, Wales. SA32 8QH.
This was the first time for me to visit the Dragon Bonsai Autumn Show, a long but straight forward car journey straight down the M4 until the motorway runs out and then a 30 minute journey north through some beautiful rolling countryside. The location for the show was Aberglasney House a medieval house and garden restored and opened to the public in 1999. Dragon Bonsai meet here almost every Sunday, the facilities offered to the club are second to none, a perfect location for the regular club meetings and their annual Spring and Autumn shows. The club meetings take place in a very spacious modern building away from the main house, but the shows take centre stage in the main house a very prestigous looking building surrounded by beautiful gardens. All members of the club are encouraged to participate in the shows and whatever standard of tree is being displayed, they were all immaculately presented. This years show had five awards as listed below.
